Ethernet Cable

Ethernet Cables are used for connecting computer to the internet.

Materials Needed :

  • Network Cable

  • (2) RJ-45 Jacks

  • Wire Cutters

  • Clamp

Instructions :

  • Cut wire to desired length

  • Strip blue tubing

  • Untwist colors and straighten them out

  • Prepare color code :

  • light orange, orange, light green, blue, light blue, green, light brown, brown

  • Cut excess wire

  • Firmly put wires into jack

  • Check to make sure wires are touched by copper

  • Clamp down

  • Repeat on other side of cable

  • Test

Testing

  • Put both jacks into either tester

  • Turn on tester

  • Check for green lights

The first time I created an Ethernet cable was not too bad. Getting the colors into the right spot was the hardest part. I messed up a few times. If I had a new cord I would take more time straightening out the colors.

Dont give up if it does not work the first time, it takes patience and practice.

Networks

A network is a link between 2 or more computers which allows them to share files.

Four benefits to using a network is the ease of sharing files, communication, distributing information, and the ability to access multiple documents from the server.

A WAN is a wide area network much like roanoke countys, while a LAN would be local area network much like one would use in their own household.

Novell Netware, Artisofts LANtastic, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows NT are examples of network operation system software.
Peer to Peer is between two people sharing documents while server/client is where there is someone in control of the server as an administrator and a client is able to use that server.

Ka Lit Lam was convicted of trafficking counterfeit items from her home in San Jose in transit to her home in Folsom. The items including purses, shoes, earrings, chains and charms. Along with the items a stamper was found, which is used to put the signature on the items. The marks were those from Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Coach, D&G, Christian Dior, Juicy, Tiffany, and even Disney and Hello Kitty. Her sentence ended with 4 months in jail and 36 months of supervised release. The retail value of the counterfeit items were ranged at 58,335 dollars but with her selling them as being real she would have made a total of 1,209,400 dollars. When Ka Lit Lam was first in business he would buy real merchandise from China but switched to counterfeit items when his customers began demanding them.

The purpose of a blog is to share with other your daily experiences or anything else that you may find people would like to know about. I think that blogs are a good way to vent or to help others with providing information. I think that they can be bad because a lot of the stuff can be made public to everyone and your information is shared all over the Internet. For the most part I think they are safe as long as the user is responsible. Blogs can be used as an educational tool to share opinions on topics talked about in school or how we are using them now.
